Carménere grape varietal is considered part of the 6 dominant Bordeaux grapes and was originally planted in the Médoc region of Bordeaux, France. It was mainly used to produce deep red wines.
Today, Carménere has found its home in Chile where it is predominantly grown. With its deep red colour, soft tannins and medium body, it is also easy to pair with fish.
